Questions about PR and Alexa I need answered

Pagerank Question: Okay, so I see a bunch of domains with Google PageRanks ranging from 1-7 typically, however - when I check them using a PR checker, they always end up at 0. So apparently after expiration/deletion they lose their PR, or do they gain it back after it's re-registered? Please explain this.

Alexa Questions: Okay, so on Alexa - let's take a domain that expired yesterday. Click here to see the Traffic Stats for it.
[1]. Does this traffic keep coming after you register it?
[2]. Will the Alexa link stay up if you keep driving traffic to it?
[3]. If it recieves as many hits as the one I showed you - is it worth the $60 backorder?
[4]. Since I am American and speak English, should I backorder a site with an Alexa rank like the one above if it was previously in another language?

Please answer all questions that you are capable of helping with.

Appreciated,
Andy

Well, as far as I am concerned, you cannot determine whether a domain is good or not just depending on the alexa ranking. The alexa ranking sometimes is not very accurate and can be manipulated. You have to check other things about the domain. As for the language, usually a Chinese site(like the one you show)won't have much US traffic which is nice unless this site has lots of link exchanges from other US traffic based sites.

Overall, do not backorder it with 60 dollars just according to its alexa traffic rank, you've got lots of other things to look at. But if you're sure that the domain is really good, then just go and backorder it.

I am not familiar with the google page rank, so maybe somebody else would be able to help you.

Hey Rong, you're completely right about that. It's the domain, not the traffic. Im having such a heck of a time trying to find good English domains though with Alexa traffic. Might there be another source to find trafficked domains other than Alexa?

Thanks,
Everyone else is welcome do help out too!

Alexa is highly unreliable. Sometime it really freaks out. Like today - EVERY site's numbers (January 11th) are BLANK. ALL GRAPHS HAVE PLUNGED TO ZERO.
