![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you absolutely want privacy, you can use Name.com which gives it for free (other registrars may have lower prices but they charge for whois privacy). Anyway, as a starter, don't start registering every single name you can think of! Before registering some names, you're warmly encouraged to spend at least a couple of weeks reading NamePros. It can be an invaluable source of learning and, what is more important, will prevent you from wasting money on worthless names!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | User errors are beyond any ones control - so being new, always read the instructions carefully and if you read through the forums here you'll seethe reviews of many good companies. This is my opinion of Godaddy, I have used them for 4 years with no issues. They have great coupons and/or discounts. The Registrar Lock is to prevent someone stealing your domain - it's a security feature. To get anonymity they have a service called DomainsByProxy which is also good. |

![]() | So, could I register it with the company name and keep my personal details confidential then? Is there a one stop shop to register a domain name and also make sure I can have privacy? Thanks to all that help! Cheers, Dave |

![]() ![]() | GoDaddy works out just fine. I currently have the majority of my domain names registered with them. If you want privacy they have a service which offers it which will completely block your domain registration information. I've used it as well and have had no dilemmas. Remember, everyone has there preferences when it comes to this industry. Try it for yourself before you decide it is something you don't want to use. You can always transfer the domains to a new registrar. |

![]() | All good advice....I'm soaking it up like a biscuit to gravy! Will making the information private affect SEO at all? I am leaning toward GoDaddy still, but the others haven't lost out yet. Thanks for all the help. Regards, Dave |
