what to do?
hi...i am a newbee to the "Domain Names Arena"

i want to sell my domain name but i don't know
how to go about it...

the domain is registered with enom....and some people say that i can only sell it after 60 days

i need to sell it now! b4 christmas ...but i am looking at other forums too....
to see if i can sell there...

the other problem is ..i can only accept payment through ikobo.com
paypal .. not accepted in my country

Some people are willing to work with you on the domain. WHat you can do, as long as they're cool with it, is go ahead and sell the domain, but YOU point the domain to the buyer's nameservers yourself so that they can use it however they wish in the meantime. I had one buyer who didn't mind that one bit and it's now been past two months and I've successfully sent it to him.

btw, even if your country does accept Paypal, I would NOT recommend it. Seriously

For appraisals, just make a new thread in the "appraisals" forum.

And as for why not, do a search on this site for bad reviews about Paypal, or check out www.paypalsucks.com for more information. As a seller of intangible goods, you have NO protection. I got jipped almost 300 dollars just this week through them. :-/

For a newbie, afternic.com and sedo.com are good places to start, as well as these forums (which ususally are considered wholesale pricing), or self promotion.

You can sell it any time as long as the new owner keeps it at enom, you just can't change registrars for 60 days.

The major forums and afternic's Bazaar are pretty quick ways to sell. Ebay can be quick, but is costly to list and you pay whether you sell or not.

If the domain will be of significant value of several hundred plus, using either escrow.com, afternic.com or sedo.com as an escrow service even if you don't list there may be an option. They all accept credit cards directly as well as bank wire transfers and most checks. In escrow, the domain is not released until payment is verified good.

BTW, like paypal or not, they are about the only easy game in town for now without opening your own credit card merchant account. There are some other payment services, but you have to check them out and some are fairly pricey or don't allow domain names.
