Hello,

As the title says, how do i "How to get a domain already registered by someone.". I am really looking for a domain, which doesn't have a website, but still shows up as registered.

Let me know.

If the name is already registered you can:

1. Make an offer to the owner to buy the name.

2. Wait and see if the name is not renewed and try to get it when it drops.

There are not many options to get a name after it is registered unless you have a TM or legal right to the name.

There are several whois tools, but I prefer Whois lookup and Domain name search

Agree with brad, use this tool and get an information about the owner. if you're in a hurry then directly contact the owner of the site, and if you're not then wait until you know if the owner is going to renew it or not.

One can check SEDO.com, Afternic.com and Tdnam.com to see if the registrant has it for sale. If so, negotiate a price and the transfer should proceed relatively smoothly. The biggest challenge could be agreeing on a price. Oftentimes buyers and sellers have far different views of a fair price.
