Help! Protecting Your Domain

Hi,

I wondered wether it is worth protecting your domain through buying other extension or if this is just a con. I run a uk e-commerce website - mybuisness.co.uk, is it worth buying other extensions (.com and .net are taken)? mybusiness.org, .biz .tv.us and .de are still available. We have in the past shipped to Germany and although we haven't got any us presence I am concerned with competing companies (despite me not intending to sell in this market). Is this stupid or is it worth buying other extensions when the initial .co.uk cost us £500?

Many Thanks

It ain't worth it. If you could get the .com at a reasonable price, I'd do that. Other .tld's aren't worth the bother.

.com only. Are you Microsoft? IBM? Sony? No? Then .com only.
