Transfering domains... Please Help!

When I Want to transfer a domain to someone from namecheap. Do I have to pay $8.88 to transfer a domain to someone? or Is there any other way to not pay the transfer fees?

As long as the "Buyer or person receiving the domain" has a free Namecheap account - You can "push" the domain for free. Just select the domain and "Modify" I think (Just emptied my namecheap account)

Please Note :

Push = Changing ownership by switching accounts at the same registrar = Free Most places

Transfer = Changing ownership by transferring to an outside registrar = Usually transfer fees are owed (Must wait 60 days after new registration)
