     | my domain is gone..... i bought a domain 7/1 from fabulous and spent the last 2 days designing a site for it. now i check my domain and it's pointing to a domain sponsor landing page. wtf??? i'm about to throw fits |

| ok....it's working now...i contacted the admin, he said it was working fine on his end....and that my browser must have been displaying a cached version of the domain....but i don't see how that could be cuz it's a new domain...i looked at archive.org and there are no other previous owners/sites on the domain... weird. when i'd type my domain, i'd get a domainsponsor landing page + 2 popups....i was freaking out |

| Sometimes your local DNS cache can 'revert' on itself - this is probably what happened. I once changed a domain's nameservers, and about 8 hours later I could see the site on the new server. Then the following day I could see the site on the old server again. It was odd, but it turned out to just be the local DNS cache (and running "ipconfig /flushdns/" via command line worked fine) |
