my domain is gone.....

i bought a domain 7/1 from fabulous and spent the last 2 days designing a site for it.

now i check my domain and it's pointing to a domain sponsor landing page.

wtf???

i'm about to throw fits

ok....it's working now...i contacted the admin, he said it was working fine on his end....and that my browser must have been displaying a cached version of the domain....but i don't see how that could be cuz it's a new domain...i looked at archive.org and there are no other previous owners/sites on the domain...

weird.

when i'd type my domain, i'd get a domainsponsor landing page + 2 popups....i was freaking out

Sometimes your local DNS cache can 'revert' on itself - this is probably what happened.

I once changed a domain's nameservers, and about 8 hours later I could see the site on the new server. Then the following day I could see the site on the old server again.

It was odd, but it turned out to just be the local DNS cache (and running "ipconfig /flushdns/" via command line worked fine)
