Another newb in this world!

Hello everybody....
I would like to know some good tips for who is starting(like some links for some articles....)! And got a few question!

1 - Like 200$ budget for starting is good? Or is too less and just not worth it?
2 - The main income come from selling or just parking?

I will appreciate all kind of tips...

Hey, welcome on board, $200 is not too good of a budget, however, anything is better than nothing. What i would suggest is that you should purchase 2-3 4 letter dotcoms and wait for few weeks and then try to sell them at profit, meanwhile keep them parked and see if you can make any money from parking.

Well this may be just me but be picky in what domains you buy and do it carefully. Don't jump the gun at anything right away consider it and think it out properly. Good Luck

If you only have $200, I would recommend not spending 1 cent until you spend at least a couple months learning about domaining -- you have no room for error with such a small amount. There are people who've started with smaller amounts and enjoyed enormous success, however it would be a whole lot easier to start with $2000 instead of $200.

With only $200, I would suggest buying domains to develop. You can then spend like $5 on a good domain and SEO it.

You would make your money back in 2 weeks, if you do it right.

Can you sugest some links of nice articles and guidelines for a beginner like me....

And btw i have one question: I read in one blog that we should choose an niche and stick with it! But i didn't understand one think, i should stick in a niche of type of domains (like engineer, news etc) or i should stick with a niche of the domain extension (like aaaa.com 333.com). Or what im saying is so stupid that you prefer not to comment?

By niche, they are suggesting you focus your domain purchases and development projects on one specific topic. The goal is to pick a "niche" or topic you're familiar with, so that you can use any experience you have to make smart purchases and/or contribute it to developing those domains into $ makers.

For me, I know alot about auto loans and auto financing (specifically subprime). So when I first started out, I bought a bunch of domains with key words centered around bad credit, bankruptcy, auto loan, car loan etc.

Right now I'm developing my first "mini site" - which is basically a way to develop traffic & then convert it to advertising revenue. It can also help increase the resale value of the domain.

Because I know alot about this topic, I feel pretty confident I made some smart domain purchases. The experience I have in this field also makes it easier for me to write content that will bring in search engine traffic and help me develop a website that is actually knowledgable.

There is ALOT to this "Domaining" business. The best advice you can get (and you've already been offered it), is to spend ALOT of time on NamePros.com reading. READ everything and ask questions. PPL here are great.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=593226

Here are some good starting points. Find threads and articled about:

- SEO (Search engine optimization)
- Mini Sites (find example sites and wrap your head around what they are)
- Revenue Options (Learn about AdSense, Parking, Affiliate Programs and what they are)
- End User Sales (You need to chase your customers, not wait for them)

Those are a few good topics to read about...but please make sure you spend ALOT of time in the NEWBIE section and the Domain Discussion section. There is so much there.

I'm new to this too but in a matter of days, NamePros.com and the people here opened my eyes up and really taught me alot.

Spend your time here and if you're spending your money, spend it on what you know!

Good luck!

use estibot to estimate the value of domain name

Hi,

You can use estibot to roughly estimate the value of a site. As regard to the value of "estatebusiness.com" :

Domain: estatebusiness.com
Keywords estate business
Frequency (MSN) 993000
Backlinks 0
PageRank 0
Alexa Rank Not Ranked
Traffic (Visits / Day) 0
New! Estibot TotalSearch™ Data:
TotalSearches™ 80 /moRead More!
TotalCompetition™ 5/10 adsRead More!
TotalCPC™ $3.00 MaxBidRead More!

Free Domain Appraisal, Domain Valuation and Keyword Research Tool Domain Appraisal USD 3,500

Note: the value is abstract.. here's the guideline i use

i would suggest that you buy domain name for development.. as it will help you to generate some passive income.. as regard to how to generate passive income .. i can give a suggestion.. open a BANS store.. or Amazon store..

the strategy is kinda simple: -
  • find a good domain name with good keywords (use wordtracker and google adwords keyword tool) - hardest thing to do..but if you can get a domain name with value >$10,000 (estibot value) - >$5000 (estibot value) is find too..
  • join Ebay Partner Network or Amazon affiliate
  • If want to join Ebay partner network ..i would highly recommend BANS store ( it will cost you $120 for the script) all you need to is to find the right category in Ebay, put your affiliate id to the script and it will generate an online store.

If you don't have the budget, then stick with Amazon store - create an a-store.. create your web site from rough and link your site to the a-store (using i-frame)
  • populate content --> focusing on your targeted keyword eg: YourKeyword.com , all your article must have "your keyword"

The game is fairly simple.. as i mentioned above.. the hardest part is to get the right keyword for your domain name.. the rest is easy

It works for me so far, hope that it works for you

Thanks man for your article and you help here... I got two question:

1 - Bans still worth? I heard some time ago that google will stop index.
2 - You make good money? Like 500$? (if you want don't want don't answer! )

Once again thank you!

1. Google will index your site.. if you are afraid of duplicate meta tag, title (change every category of your store..(in other words, write your own description, instead of using the automatically generated title and meta tags).
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=593226

2. I just started out with bans , this year in fact. traffic is increasing month after month.. as regard to income.. $500 per month is my first goal.. i am on the process of achieving it. (piece of advice, don't give up easily it can be frustrating when you can't see the earning for the first 3 months. )

it depends on what keyword you targeted and traffic you target.. my experience is US traffic is usually valuable CA and UK traffic is not bad either.. don't bother to buy traffic (you can but usually it leads closely to zero conversion , plus it screws up your data (misleading) - hard to trace performance in short.

Always, keep track of your traffic.. (use google analytic) to keep track of your data.

If you have any question as regard to store design or any other difficulty.. members in namepros are wiling to give a helping hand. (Tips: put your store on review - you can get countless feedback).

Really appreciate the help from namepros member that had helped me

Good luck buddy
