    | "type-in" statistics??? Morning! I have someone interested in one of my domains and they've asked me "Is it possible to verify type-in statistics for your name?" What does this mean exactly?? I'm guessing it has something to do with Google, Overture, Tracker or some combination there of... but I'm not sure. Please advise!  Thanks! Lyte |

| "Type-in" traffic is when someone types in your domain instead of finding it from a search engine or another link. I'm not sure how you can determine how much of your traffic are type-ins but you can get a stats counter and check the referrers (if your domain is the referrer then it means it was a type-in). |

     | if your domain is on a registar parked page, you will have no way of knowing. You would need it on a hosted page with referrer stats or a hit counter. sites that specialize in sales like sedo.com, fabulous.com or afternic.com will keep traffic counts for you if you park them there.

| Thanks for responding! I've only had the domain a month, parked on Sedo for all of a week and I've not added it to any search engines yet. So, I guess I don't have any "type-in" stats. LOL Plus, I don't think the domain (www.geneissues.com) is one that is an earner in the PPC way. Or am I wrong?? Any ideas how to market this domain that will generate PPC revenue?? It has several gene/genetics related links attached to it but I think the value would be in the name alone. Thoughts?? Thanks in advance! Swift |
