Back links

Hi ,

Just wondering , why do some people dislike putting back links when posting their domain name in forums?

Example : DomainName(DOT)com

maybe they want to make it harder for other people to find information about the domain.

Cancer Survivorship
If the domain is parked it's probably against the parking service's TOS to link to it.

Also, if the domain is indexed (and not developed) posting the name in a forum will probably cause the forum post to outrank the domain itself for the name.

Posts get indexed in search engines and when someone search about domain names, search engines shows the result related to that domain name.

I think only people who do domain name business post domain names in different way.

Do directory submissions and blog commenting. Having links at your forum signature which are dofollow is also effective.
