What do you think about free domains?

I currently have a beach--vacations.blogspot.com]beach vacations website with a blogspot ending. Will that effect my websites ranking?

not that I'm an expert at SEO, but I used to have free blogger accounts before I went into paid hosting.
I think as long as your content is unique, your website should rank well, and having it hosted on blogger (which is owned by Google), your website will get indexed quicker, however, saying that, you are limited to what you can do on free hosting....

blogspot is a good place to start. You can later set up a real domain and blogger will let you redirect the blogspot address to it, so you don't lose any traffic. Because of that ability you can even sell a blogspot blog pretty much like any website.

Once you are ready buy a .com and some hosting or get free hosting. You will enjoy the freedom.

that's not a domain it's a subdomain.
it means you're promoting someone else's domain and not yours.
