To push to another 'Name.com' account: Click on the domain you want to push. Select account transfer from the control panel. Put the recipients account code in the box provided. Choose the contact types for the other account that you would like the domain name to change to and submit...... Done!

To transfer out to another registrar ie Godaddy you have to request a transfer through Godaddy and then enter the authorization code which can be found by clicking on the domain at Name.com you want to transfer. The code is at the bottom of the info listed.

Pushing a domain is moving the domain from one owner to another within the same registrar. Transfering a domain is removing it from the current registrar to another, whether it be the same owner or to a new owner.

A change of host would usually be required if you had a domain with an active website and you wanted to change your website service. Once you have chosen a new hosting service you require the name server information of the new server. Your new web host should send you a primary and a secondary name server. Once you have these you need to log into your account at the registrar where the domain is located and change the DNS information associated with your domain name to the new values.

The changes will take place usually within 24hrs but can be as long as 72hrs.
