| A lot of tracking programs to include AW Stats, Webalizer, and more are inacruate in my opinion. These tracking programs also show google bot, yahoo bot, and more, when they index your page. I don't know about you but google indexes some of my sites multiple times a day, thus skewing your stats.
The best method I have found to track stats is Google Analytics. You can sign up at google.com/analytics. You embed their tracking code on all of your pages and can see an amazing array of details about your users, how long they stayed on your site, where they came from, where they are located and more. Unlike Webalizer and AW Stats, these details are much more accurate IMO. The display is also 1000 times better and you can run numerous reports.
