I’m a programmer and not much of a “writer” “Author” or “blogger” but it seems in order to attract visitors to my websites especially for long tail key phrases I have to do a blog and I have to do it every day. I tried but it is so inherently boring my brain shuts down.
But then I came up with an idea, I have a list containing 10’s of thousands of cool domain names which I’ve been building up for some time. I’ll post 100 cool domain names every day and then people who are looking for a domain name might find it useful or at least get some inspiration or ideas from it.
So every day I’m posting 100 cool domain names to my blog jargonfree.wordpress.com but then thanks to Bill.T I find this forum where you are all MAD about domain names.
I know what you are saying Weblord but I thought I've got a blog with a few posts on it and you never know it might get dugg to death by digg.com and apparently wordpress is digg proof. And it is providing a relevant backlink from a different IP.
if it does become moderatly popular I'll stick it on a domin though thanks for the advice.
Your idea is not bad, but the idea about content is that people will find you by search engines. If people are not looking for the domain names you post, it may not work as well. But if you get known as a site that has good name ideas, then that will help a lot and I am going to check it out after I post this. :-)
But there are other ways to get content and if what you are doing doesn't seem to work well in say 2-3 months, then I would try something else.
My blog platform of choice is Blogger. WordPress is ok, but the post by email didn't work well for me and I need that. Also, I don't host at Blogger, but on my own domains. That way Blogger becomes just a publishing system for me.
