Using an Amex/Visa Gift Card So recently I've been signing up for various domain registrars, and I was just wondering - can I give my billing information as an american express/visa giftcard? like, mainly for those free registrations and stuff that still ask for your credit card for a transaction of $0. can i just get like a $20 american express gift card and put that as my credit card info? has anybody tried this?

I dont see why this wouldnt work. All a registrar really cares about when registering a domain is wether or not you have a valid credit card that has funds available. Now I do know some online stores and such do address verification against the credit card as a fraud check... but hey, its worth a shot. The worst that can happen is that the card will be declined.

since your question is very specific to the registrar in question, better ask their customer support about this issue.

It should be fine, some pre paid visas even allow you to add your details to it through a website so if your card has a website check it.
