![]() | Is there a way to... Grab or regged an expired domain by myself the same day it drop? Sometime, i don't see the utility to use enom, pool or other snap company to grab a domain. Not because it worth nothing, but not at the price they charge. I've tried to regged some domains the day they expire, and my registrar keep saying me that the domain is still registered and to retry in 24 to 48 hours. So, my question remain, can i snap or regged an expired domain by myself one hour or something after they dropped(after 2h pm)? Thank very much for your help, McG |

Really depends on its perceived value , IMHO ... the more obscure the domain name the better chances you have of "manually registering" on the day it's to drop, after 2:00 p.m. EST. I hand - regged a domain name (at my basic Enom Reseller account) that was integral for me and my long-term development plans the other day in exactly this manner ... had others generally thought it was a "high value" domain name, chances are it would have been snapped up with one of the paid services mentioned above, in my view.????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=50248 I might never resell it for much, but again ... for my future development purposes - it is priceless! ![]() All the best! -Jeff

![]() ![]() ![]() | What time should I find out if I win a drop - (I'm in the UK) and cant remember from those I have already won. I have one due to delete today 5th Oct. Fingers crossed big time as this is a stunner - no way of knowing anyone else's interest though! Wish me luck - I let you know if I get it. |

![]() Oh, as for manual registering a drop, make sure you don't do it at a registrar that takes its time updating it's whois... then it will show as dropping when it is really available. | ||||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There is no competition against the big dogs. Unless you've got a stick bigger then theirs... you lose. The field is no longer level. Either you've got the money to play the game, or you don't. Like Jeff said, there are several names that you'll be able to get with no problem... as long as they have no value to anyone else. It's really all about just getting what you need now. Not getting what you want. It sounds harsh, and it may sound mean... but I've feel that I've been through enough of crap over the past few months to share my bitter side about the matter... how can you argue with survival of the fittest? Good Luck- Jennifer

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah it really depends on how much in demand the name(s) you're after is (or are) if you get into an auction situation, it's the best of times, and it's the worst of times. the game these days is to figure out what you can GET that you can then SELL. As Jennifer said, what you WANT has to come in last (with rare exceptions) |
