| Confused I'm trying to figure out how best to estimate monthly traffic for certain keywords. I have tried using 3 different tools that should give me similar results but they aren't.
For example, I have this domain FordColorado(dot)com. The key words are "Ford Colorado." Here are the results:
Google Keyword Tool (exact match): 140
Keyword Discovery: 25
Wordtracker: 0
Here is another example (not my domain): Keyword = "Rolla"
Google (exact): 4,400
Keyword Discovery: 481
Wordtracker: 81
Why are these results so different? Aren't they essentially telling me the same thing? |

| The results don't always match up. I would suggest you stick to one as your metric. I use Word Tracker myself. I think that is the most accurate way to gauge the popularity of an exact search term. |
