| NamePros Member | Questions on Revolution.org - 6 figure price tag Can someone experienced please advise us: Revolution.org fetch a six figure pricetag in an auction. What if the owner of revolutions.org come in, will they fetch a good price? What if the owner of revolution.com decide to sell, will they also fetch a good price? Thanks |

| www.DataCube.com | I am not sure Revolution.com would sell for as much as the .ORG did. It is a really good domain, but I think the consensus is that it was just a good sale to a very interested end user.

| There is no spoon | They say you want a revolution? Well, you know... They didn't say Revolutions, and we typically dont either. Type the two words in Google, the singular has 130m results and the plural only 10m. So about 1/20th price or even less for the plural. dotcom is typically worth more, it happens to be a developed site and has good rank, but it has far less traffic than the org does. It could fetch a higher price but sometimes people are willing to pay more for a different TLD, but it happens occassionally. |

| NamePros Regular | everyone focused on the revolution.org sale is missing the big picture. revolution.com DID change hands... a few years ago. Revolution.com once owned by REFLEX (who always list their names NOT FOR SALE, lol) and now owned by Steve Case. It's the name Steve Case (formerly Mr. AOL) chose for the name of his business incubator... his multi-billion dollar incubator. I'm certain that deal eclipsed the .org selling price, but details will never be made public.

| NamePros Member | These are astute businessmen...why would they want to pay good money when there are alternative names elsewhere? For example Flickr, Facebook, Yahoo....would anyone be able to say that these are sure winners (before they became winners?) I am saying this because as i look through the list of available names, there can be so many similar combinations that i am at a lost as to which one of them will actually stand out |
