Great word with .name

Hi, could I ask you if I ought to reg domain with only one word (2 000 000 searching on google) with unusual TLD (.name, .us)? I really don't know if it's good investments.

It depends on what the word is, but of the two, domains that are .us should be a better investment than a domain with .name, unless that one word is someone's name, like Prince, Cher, Seal, etc. but then you have trademark issues which is another topic.

I personally don't consider the number of search results to be very important in determining the value of a domain.

Stay away from .name resale isnt not good at all, and even if developed your still looking at a hard sale. .US is decent, if you can find a good name.
