Value of signing up with enom.com

Hello,

I was thinking of entering into the world of domain reselling. There is something which I am not clear about: "what is the value of signing up as a domain reseller with eg enom.com when i can easily buy domains from name.com at a much cheaper rate?"

Yet there must be some value. But I am not able to get it. Can someone help, please?

Thank you.

One big eNom perk is their API for Perl, PHP and ASP if you intend to sell domains and other services through your own site. All domain/hosting automation scripts support it or you can build your own custom app. Other benefits are that you can resell eNom's complete line of services, not just domains. Hosted Exchange is a hot example.

Free accounts like the one offered here at NB are common, except NB's is an "8.88" account which is as good as it gets for free sign up. Otherwise, for more competitive prices, you'll need a different kind of account that many ETPs sell for a hardy sum.

I think eNom has the best reseller program going but I wish they would get real about .info and .mobi prices for ETPs. It's impossible to compete with Godaddy or Name.com on many TLDs. So in some regards there's no advantage at all.

You're welcome.

If you can get common TLDs for 8.88 but they're slightly cheaper elsewhere, I'd say go with eNom anyway for the extras, particularly the API. i.e., I'd rather pay the ETP upstream 8.88 than pay Godaddy 7.99.

Duh, sorry I referred to NP as "NB". Must have been thinking about name bucks or Nebraska.
