I was wondering if your contact details need to be 100% correct. ATM everything is correct but in my address field I have written in N/A. Reason for this is I don't want junk mail and so on. I have my mobile, email, post code, state, Name and country correct. So it is possible to contact me and I haven't provided and fraudulent data correct? and does this violate the TOS?
yes. it needs to be accurate and icann.org will send out reminder to you to update it.
if that's your concern then get a free whois privacy protection. in name.com you can get that free.
I have very few with private reg. You can use fake information if you want, but if someone reports it and you don't correct it you could lose the domain, I hear...
The main thing I think to be concerned with is SPAM. One solution is to create special email forwards to use in your contact records. If one starts getting a lot of spam, you can create another forward and delete the old one.
By the way, it's a very good idea to make sure you can get email from at least 2 of the contacts, and that both of the emails are different. If one email becomes invalid or does not work, you still want to get renewal or other notices.
and nowadays here in our country they're becoming more techie everyday and the only proof i can show them (besides the front page/contents, of course) is the domain whois that I really own the domain and can do the same for them.
