| Typing words in the address box always produces uncertain results for me, but when some of the phrases for your doamains worked to take me to a site it was not one of yours. :-( The other times I got the Google search page.
When I checked the search traffic in the Google traffic estimator, only two of them any any traffic and it was very, very low. The rest did not register any traffic.
This is not going to be a very effective method in my opinion, but if you are going to do this you could try and get some links that point to the domains and see how that works. But I would not expect much.
And the fact that you could register all these domains as .coms may indicate the resale market is not real good for them. "MakeMoneyGoogle.com" is the best one in my opinion, but I would not pay more than the reg fee for it. :-)
My suggestion would be to use Blogger, Wordpress, or another application and create 5 sites and make them into a nice little network of sites or blogs that each focusses on one aspect of making money with Google. Once could be about adsense, one could be about using google to promote affiliate programs, one could be about promoting the Google toolbar and Firefox, one could be about Google search, and one could be about what you are doing with the network of sites. :-)
Good Luck! |

| I'm not sure if Google would like anyone profiting from their TM. That's an issue you should bring up in the legal issues thread.
I admire that you're not thinking of getting rich overnight. That makes you smarter than the average noob Coming from one of the first 5,000 ppl registered to this forum, welcome to Namepros! |

| Trademark domains are a very risky thing to buy, but I doubt anyone is going to get sued for registering them. The most likely thing is that you may get an email or registered letter that is pretty scary asking you to stop using them for anything and to give them to the TM holder.
But if you develope a web site that can be considered "fair use", like "xbox forums", and that is not trying to fool anyone or infringe on the TM, then I don't think you will have any problems. I would do some research and get some more advice.
I have had some TM domains for two different companies before I learned better. I had about 6 for one TM and about 12 for the other. The first company sent me a registered letter and I contacted them via email the same day. I was very friendly and told them why I should be allowed to keep two of the 6 domains because they did not infringe and I would be able to keep them if it went to court. They were not nasty, but they insisted on all 6 domains. Since the two I wanted were not making any money really, I gave them all to them. They didn't change the name servers and I was still earning from them all about 4 months later. :-)
The other company was ebay and they sent me an email. It didn't seem to matter that I was using the domains for their affiliate program. I sent them a reply back and asked some questions and they never wrote back or contacted me again. At first I pulled all the content, then when I did not hear back from them I set them all up with redirects and their affiliate links so people just when directly to ebay. I never made any money from them and later traded all the domains for some blog advertising. :-)
Yeah, unless you know what you are doing and understand the risks, stay away for any domain that is or may have a trademark. |

| I guess you have to ask yourself some these questions:
Would I sell copy products, ex. fake Giorgio Armani suits?
Would I sell illegal downloaded mp3?
If yes then go ahead and reg/buy/sell TM domainnames.
Imo, there is no difference between TM domainnames and copy/fake/illegal products.
Just because you probably wont get caught/sued doesnt make it right.
Just my simple opinion.
Good luck and best regards,
Mr. T |
