![]() | Name.com charges twice for a domain ? I've registered 3 domains in name.com , for ther first one I paid 5.99 a com domain. But the next two I've been charged twice .. once for the domain and once for the authorisation of the payment. Has anyone experienced this? I sent them several emails the last month , but they never respond. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | there are times like that when isp fluctuates or disconnects and then reconnects again during middle of transaction, you should give them a headsup for them to cancel the duplicate charges, all good registrar should cancel within 24 to 48 hours. or much better call them to show them the urgency of the matter, if they don't cooperate usually out of frustration, your last resort is your credit card company to file a dispute.

![]() | Well I do not want to go that far , it is only 15$ but it is not possible as far as I know name.com is a reputable company how can this be possible? I dont even afford to call them I would pay even more than 15$ for the phone call. I will email them again , its not any isp flcutiion that happens once but not every time. Thanks again |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Same thing happened to me two weeks ago, but as far as I could tell they only took the money once, even though the charge appeared twice on PayPal. They seem to have problems with the servers on a regular basis though. Took me two hours yesterday until I could buy a domain from them. The PayPal payment kept failing because they couldn't make the connection with Name.com Anyone knows a registrar that offers $6 domains for the first year and also gives free whois protection? |
