Question Quick Paypal question

I know that a chargeback can be made using Paypal when purchasing domains, as people dispute the charge with their credit card company. But can a chargeback be done when paying through Paypal using "account balance"? I have seen a lot of posts that require that people pay ONLY through Paypal balance....Is this safer? and if so, how can you verify that a payment actually is through account balance? As much as I like Paypal, I am constantly worried about chargebacks when I sell a domain. Thanking you in advance for your help, Mark

And yes, I do know about Escrow, Moneybookers, and egold. They are just not acceptable payment options for many people due to their geography or for whatever reason.

There can be chargebacks with account balances too, but to file a complaint with Paypal that is successful is far more complicated (especially with intangible items) than with the credit card company. And it's far less likely that the money in the account balance is from a stolen card, as most scammers don't put money into the balance from the card, just use it when they buy something.

Yes a chargeback can be made with a paypal balance also. Even though a dispute is not being filed with the buyer's credit card company, the buyer can still file for a paypal dispute. Paypal disputes often take longer to resolve and if you are dealing with digital or electronic items, the buyer in most cases will win the dispute since the seller has a hard time proving a digital or electronic item has been received. With a domain name, you could probably show in a domain whois record that the new owner has his information in there. But sometimes that doesnt always work now that there is whois privacy features these days and stuff.
