![]() | Will a domain name available any time? I was longing for a domain name studypark.com. I developed a site with the site name studypark ( http://www.studypark.site88.net ) and this name would best fit my need. But when searched the studypark.com is already taken but there is no site or pages. Just parked domain name. When I contacted the owner of that domain he asked for $5000 which is tooooooo much for anybody here in Nepal. Is there any chance that this domain name will be free and I would be able to use it ever? I'm new to Domain Names, Please execuse if i'm asking something fool. Hoping your cooperation. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That person either does not want to sell the domain, or has unrealistic ideas about what it's worth. That is unfortunite for smaller site developers like you that have a more legitimate use for the domain. Not that the owner cannot keep it and use it as they are, but the domain would be more useful to everyone if it had a real site on it. You could keep asking the owner to sell it to you, and they may lower the price, but since they are starting out so high it is not likely they will lower the price to something that makes sense for you. I suggest that you think about getting another domain for your site and I will send you a PM so no one else is tempted to register the domain before you. :-)

![]() ![]() | Hi shkhanal, Have you considered StudyPark.net? It's available, and if you registered it for around $8 that would be less than 0.2% of what you're being "offered" the .com at. I actually like .net domains to begin with, as cheap alternatives. In this case it would be pretty decent for you, as it looks like you have a lot of computer topics being discussed. I hope this helps, but it's just one suggestion. Look at all your options and see what will work best for you. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree with Ari, get .net instead, it seems the guy who has .com is not interested in selling for a reasonable price.¨ Unfortunatly for you, in this case it doesnt seem that the guy, will let it expire. Expire or buy would be your only hope or opportunity. Otherwhise you have to choose another domainname. My advise for you is, to get the domainname in other extension like: studypark.net is avaliable like Ari said studypark.org is avaliable studypark.cc is avaliable studypark.info is avaliable studypark.ws is avaliable studypark.asia is avaliable studypark.in is avaliable Good luck and best regards,

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | most likely .com will not be ever free for hand registration. seller asks too much for it, but he also knows that it has some value. even if he drops the name there will be lots of sharks awaiting to catch it. So i think you should consider something that is available for hand registration like previous posts suggesting.
