Will godaddy penalize me for the frequent refunds on domains?

i haven't done this yet but since i managed to get a refund from godaddy today on one of my domains because the fellow namepros members said that domain was only worth reg fee.

I'm thinking if i could just reg domains with confidence next time, bring those domains here for an appraisal, then refund those that are worth reg fees and less?

However, i'm worried if godaddy would just cancel my account because it seems that the whole refunding procedure is carried out by the administrator and not by the system.

What do you think?

What you tell is what domainers call "tasting" and high-end domainers do this.

I cant see why GoDaddy should cancel your account. Refunding is a service they provide, if they didnt want to provide that service, they shouldnt put it there. So to "punish" a user that uses there services would not be right.

So I dont think you have anything to fear. I dont think GoDaddy would mind. IMO

But to refund a domain, just because a NP-member told you one thing, is not a good thing. Domaining is very subjective so what if that NP-member was wrong?

Listen to others advices, follow the Marketplace-threads here in NP, look at what domains are sold for and which domains does sell or not sell. And based on all this, judge your own opinion, but remember to be realistic.

Best regards,

I have decided that I will donate 10% of what I make from selling domain names in 2012 to the above programme.

Honestly, if you plan to taste on a regular basis you should find a registrar that lets you delete unwanted domains without having to contact support every time.
