New domain transfers - any hitches ??

Hi guys,

I was informed this morning that .co.uk domains cannot be transferred to another registrar before 60 days. So on that - if I sell a domain to someone before this 60 day lock then my buyer is not going to be a happy bunny and I can see trust problems between both parties.

I am a newbie myself and thought this was a topic that would be informative to new domain traders.

Can anyone enlighten this topic and maybe give a brief on the delays we can expect should we decide to buy a domain and then try to sell it straightaway.
If there are various rules per dot extension that would be really usefull to know as well.

Cheers

As far as I know you can still push the domain whenever you want. I could be wrong but I think that is correct. So if the buyer has an account at the registrar then you can push the domain without trouble. Hope that helped.

yea you can only push it within one registrar. for example, if your domain registered with godaddy.com and if you sell domain you should make it clear to buyer that he must have an account with godaddy so you will be able to push it to him. after 60 days he can transfer it wherever he wants to.
