Domain parking and auction tips wanted

Hi Guys

I have domains listed on both Sedo and Go Daddy for sale and auction with domains parked only on Sedo for the revenue side of things while waiting for sales.

Haven't sold any yet but just wondered what other peoples experiences of these two are and if there are any tips worth knowing ?

Also have been looking at other domain parking sites like :
Bodis | Parked | Domain Sponsor
and again looking for any worthwhile comments on these if anyone has any - I have had a look at them and got as far as the registration form but noticed that they wanted a lot of domains parked at once rather than just submitting a couple. so I haven't committed just yet.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/470203-domain-parking-and-auction-tips-wanted.html

Cheers ...

If you don't have many domains or the domains are not very good the larger parking services may not let you open an account. Whatever parking services you use, take advantage of any optimization options they provide. A little work optimizing your parking pages should pay off in time. Some don't let you do anything, but others let you change templates, colors, graphics, text, and keywords. Automated optimization sometimes works well, but other times you need to see where the traffic is coming from or what search keywords are used to select the best keywords that will invoke ads that match what your traffic is looking for. Sometimes "credit cards" will show casino and poker images... Yes, it may work, but credit card images may be better.

If your parked domains don't get any traffic, try moving them to a parking service like Domain Spa that should let you promote the domains, but CHECK with them first via email and make sure that getting links or submitting to search engines and directories is permitted. Most parking services do NOT allow this and WILL close your account.

If you are getting traffic, but no clicks even though you have optimized, then move the domain to another provider and try again. One place to try for beginners is Imonetize.com. They only allow you to suggest keywords, but they rotate domains with several parking providers and it may work without much effort.

I was with Bodis for awhile and liked them a lot. Then they close my account and that of others with no warning. They may never do that to anyone again, but if you use them you need to be aware of that. To their credit, they did pay me the last payment they owed me. I had only about 30 domains with them at the time. Now I have over 1,000 and I would never use them again. Sorry, I'm still bitter... :-)

i would like to say do a research and stay with whatever parking company you might have, 2 or 3 weeks will not be long until you get one sale from them.

A quick tip is to also list your domains with afternic, as they operate the same way as Sedo... Free listing and 10% fee of any sale.
