![]() | Question: Buying to Selling I have a general "how-to" question for the group, forgive me if it seems really rudimentary. Could someone walk me (and any other very green newbies) through the logistics of selling a domain once an offer has been received? I'm terribly afraid of making some sort of technical error and severly disappointing a potential buyer. If this is already outlined in another thread, I apologize! Thanks in advance! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | this might be outlined elsewhere, but here's a quick rundown: - after you've both agreed on a price, you will have to decide on a payment method. - this method is usually assumed to be paypal** and the currency is assumed to be usd. - once you've received the funds, you then either "push" or "transfer" the domain. a) push: sending the domain from your account at a registrar to the buyer's account at that same registrar. pushes are initiated on the seller's end (yours). ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/466455-question-buying-to-selling.html b) transfer: in this case, the buyer will be transfer the domain out of its current registrar into one of his/her choice. you will need to unlock the domain and provide the buyer with the epp/auth code. the buyer will then initiate the transfer on his/her end with the auth code you provided. - after all that's completed, leave them some itrader/feedback! **if the selling price is high (in the hundreds+), then you'll probably want the transaction to go through an escrow service (moniker escrow, sedo escrow, escrow.com, etc). in this case, the escrow service will tell you to send the domain to the buyer after the escrow service has confirmed the funds.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you won't learn if you won't make a mistake, real humans do make mistakes, and experience is the best teacher. but each mistake makes you better since you already know what not to do next time. "study" don't stop and you need a lot of them.
