Domain That Changes DNS

I hope that some here can give me some Idea what's going on.

Back in Dec I registered a domain name (beasthits.com) with register.com ever since then just out of the blue my domain would get redirected to their coming soon page with a bunch of popups.

I've called their support several times and they claim their no problem.

A few weeks ago I move the domain to Namecheap I thought that this would take care of the problem but now today its doing it again.

Thanks,

Steve

Does it happen for every user or just you? Could it be that your ISP is to be blamed for that?

It doesn't happen to just me other have seen the problem. It almost like it's not fully resolving yet.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/453966-domain-that-changes-dns.html

I just log into my WHM Control Panel and checked the DNS setting there. It looks like the settings had been changed to

dns056.a.register.com

for beasthits NS1 through 4.

very strange I change them back to ns1.rellerscene.com and 2

But it's still resolving to register.com coming soon page. I don't know anything about the setting in the WHM control panel but this is the only domain name out of several that I had a problem like this.

Thanks,

Steve

are you hosting your own NS servers? You have to register the names and ips at the registrar before you can use them. Then, on your NS servers set the ips for beathits.

Also, setup monitoring tool to email you when NS changes, DomainTools allows it for free i think.

No I'm using:
ns1.rellerscene.com
ns2.rellerscene.com

These are the same name servers I use without problem for my other domains.

It seems to only happen on the weekend as well but then again maybe I just notice then because I'm home more.

I was hoping that this problem would have resolved itself when I change register.

I went to Cpanel for one of my other domains when all this was going on and used Dig I got some very strange results every few minutes it would switch back and forth.

I'm copying just a few of the results here.

So I called register.com the old register as this is were it keeps changing to but they claim that the domain is nowhere on their server so they have no control over it.

I know I will never register a domain with register.com again.

Thanks,

Steve
