![]() | Domain Cancellation Is it common to have a domain cancelled by the registrar a few days after registering? I just regged a name on the 15th, and now today I get an email saying I cancelled it this morning. Not the case. So I called godaddy and it was explained that there was another registrar regging the same name as me at the time and that the decsision was made by ICAN that they were a few seconds quicker. The guy said he's only seen happen 3 times ever. Sounds like bs to me. how would I go about finding out the REAL reg times and disputing this? Thanks in advance and thank you to all the members and mods who make this place so helpful! |

When processing your order they realize the name is not available and you get a refund. GD is not a good place to check domains.

![]() ![]() ![]() | A similar thing happened to me. I registered domains on GoDaddy and then accidentally re-registered the same names soon after, and they let me do it again. But they quickly cancelled the second order and refunded the credit card charge, so it was ok in the end.
