contacting a company about a domain

Hey everyone. I have a pretty good name that gets alright traffic. I was checking some of the other extensions and noticed a company in Europe has bought the .eu, .biz, and .mobi. I am considering contacting them since I own the .info but was curious what the best way to approach them would be. They are a web hosting/web technology company. Any thoughts on a good sample email?

Why not give them a call ? May seem a little more professional especially to a business. They may see the email as spam giving how much spam is received in a day these days. Just my opinion.

I already did it, in most cases it does help, another step can be to send them a letter with registered mail ( yes, the good old mail may does it well too, if you arenīt sending the letter too far from you )

Cheers

My only concern is if the domain is also their company name. They might decided to try and take it from you if you are asking what they think is "too much" for the domain.

I have been reading about legal advice on this kind of thing, and an offer to sell could be seen as "bad faith" if you have no real right to the domain in question. If it's a generic domain that could be use by anyone then there should be no problem.

That is bloody good advice. Take care when approaching companies about this sort of thing. That said, I have read of much success by fellow domainers using direct approach.
