Anyone have problems with Domus (registrar)?


I purchased a domain from snapname and the gaining registrar was Domus (www.domus.com).

I tried to get them to send me the Auth Code in order to switch registrar but they never responded (2 weeks now...), so I emailed snapname and they gave me the auth code for the transfer. I used it to get it transferred and got an error message:

whois.domus-llc.com failed: Connection refused

What the heck does that mean?
I am a bit nervous that I will not be able to get this transferred and lose my domain ...

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure denrou. Email can get lost and shuffled, expecially from certain companies. I would see if they have a phone number and call them. I have had an issue with a company and I have called 5 times already with no answer, but I am going to keep calling. If worst comes to worse.. I'd hate to say it, but (if your domain is expiring soon) you can backorder your own domain. Kind of shady, and costs more, but you wouldn't lose it.. in theory. I hopy you get your domain back.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to call them and speak to a tech support guy.
