Not really a domaining question, but....

I'm a tiny bit confused about UK Postal orders.

I live in the UK and today I received payment, (via postal order), for a domain.
I have never received a postal order before so I'm not so familiar with them.

Can I take it to my bank and cash it as though it were a cheque? -- It certainly LOOKS like a cheque.. It has my name, the value, a signature from the person at the post office where it was purchased.

..Or do I need to take the postal order to my post office and have it redeemed for cash there.

Thanks.

Take it to the post office, be sure to take ID with you though!

They will stamp it and give you the cash....

Very straight forward.

You can't do it via your bank.

Hope this helps..

Scott.

Theres a huge scam in postal orders - specially US/UK - if you've sold a domain, pls don't transfer till you clear payment.

And its rampant from Africa and Eastern Europe.

Good Luck
