About my new domainname

Hi,

I have a question. I have just won an auction at sedo for the
domainname pda-forum.com and in the auction it said that it has
between 12000-15000 visitors a month.

How reliable is this information because I have noticed that the domainname
has been registered in december 2007?

Hmmm that is an interesting question. That would have to mean between December and January, the site has received 12,000 to 15,000 visitors. Not to mention the domain was created December 30th? So we would actually be talking about just the month of January here. Then the question becomes, is he referring to hits? Or actual unique visitors? Also since this is just a parking page, I would have to be suspicious. You might want to ask for proof. The only way to get that many hits so fast might be if he made them himself or had them generated in some way? I would not go by those stats especially since the domain hasnt even been registered for an entire month yet. It could be possible this domain was registered by someone else not to long before this registrant and it was an established quality site? That would be my only other guess.

use free available tools to see whether the traffic stats are true, alexa might be a good one to start off with.

Also, he could have listed it as a show case domain on the front page which would have also resulted in all that traffic!.
