| New Member | Forum Domain Name Hi, I'm new here and have a couple questions 1. Is it better to have for example: pillowforums.com or pillowforum.com 2. which one is better or which would you prefer: thepillowforum.com or pillowforums.org I hate having the .org extension, but I think I would rather have the better name with an org than a less desirable name with a .com what do you think? Thanks in advance |

| NamePros Regular | I dont really like an .org for a forum. About the singular/plural thing, search google for the words and you will be able to decide on it. pillow forum returns about 740k results and pillow forums returns about 580k only. Also, if you think you may lose some traffic with the plural I would suggest you to reg that also and point it to the main website.

| Emperor Penguin | Also keep in mind that you dont have to restrict yourself to the word forum either. There are many other words you could use in it's place like PillowTalk or PillowDiscussion, etc. Personally I have never even thought of making a forum just about pillows. But if you have enough people to support your idea and you feel it could be successful, go for it!

| NamePros Regular | I agree with "Snowbird", unless you have to have the word "forum" in the name, there are other alternatives to "forum", such as: PillowBoards, TalkPillows, SimplyPillows, PillowsPortal, PillowsCafe, EverythingPillows, etc. But I wouldn't pick .org over .com, though.
