| NamePros Regular | I have used both adaware and spybot (both updated) but still they have failed to removed my BFAST spyware. Any idea how to get rid of them?

| NamePros Regular | No, they did not even detect BFast. But there was a message, something like they detected a hole of some sort. Whatever!

| Account Closed | ok first things first: 1) Update windows and office at Microsoft.com 2) go to add/remove programs and kill stuff you dont want 3) go to c>program files kill what you dont want 4) update Norton and scan 5) set up spybot to only load on start up the programs you need to run your pc and other options you want running. rescan with spybot and adaware. nothing should be left alive. if however there is, download and run "HiJack This". and for everything it finds, do a google on it and see if you should or should not manually delete it. |

| NamePros Founder Administrator | Also can see what's loading when you startup your computer and maybe find some bad stuff to turn off: Start > Run> type "msconfig" (no quotes), click OK Go to the "Startup" tab and there you can disable things that are starting up with your computer. Quote:

| Senior Member | if norton doesn't cath it when you get it, then usually norton wont catch it at all. Use spybot, restart, use sypot again, if theres a lot of stuff again, restart and use it again. That should get rid of it. Just keep restarting until nothing shows up |

| NamePros Regular | Argh, I did everything and even successfully used Hijackthis (found A LOT of crap), but the awful bfast still lingers whenever I try to get on Ebay. It keeps telling me that the merchant is no longer involved in this program (of highjacking my browser and sending information, I assume). Instead of going to Ebay.com when it keeps trying to go to http://service.bfast.com/clients/not...erchant-1.html and the error message shows up as "This merchant is no longer participating in the affiliate program." Repeated use of spybot just keeps turning up a "PSO" or "ISO" loop or hole or something, and I just remove it all the time. Off to google to search for another remedy!

| NamePros Regular | www.webroot.com Try downloading Spy Sweeper from this website (it's the company's website) and updating the definitions once you first start it up, then running it. It's a great program, better than S&D. Nate
