GoDaddy Question~ Worried

Yesterday I bid and won a name on the domain aftermarket. The domain names owner has sent me an email wanting my name, address and e-mail. I thought GoDaddy took care of all the transfer info. Am I mistaken? I have purchased several names form the GD Aftermarket and have never had a member contact me before. Is this ok? I thought I was buying an expired name? On the domains that I have won section, the Yours ON section, says Email seller for details. Thank you

TDNAM has a lot of public auctions where the names are not expired.
In these cases, the seller needs to push the name to you, and GoDaddy only takes care of receiving payment.

Sometimes during the domain transfer process at GD, it prompts the seller or the owner who is trying to initiate a change for the new owners name, address, and especially email address. The email address is the important part, as this is where GD will be sending the transfer code to, I would not be worried about disclosing your information to the seller, but just your basic information!.

(Seriously, if people wanted to take your basic information, they could get it from a whois search of your domains)

cheers
