Hi Arecapp, I know you from Nameslot.com... :-)

Well, I'm very cheap when it comes to buying domains, so yes I think your prices are too high for the most part. But the other thing to consider is how many people are looking at them. You may not be getting enough visitors to find the right buyers for your names.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/404823-new-site-my-names-2-high.html

Most new people don't realize that there is a retail market for domains and a wholesale market. People that want a certain kind of domain for a web site are going to pay more and that's the retail end. Most of the people on forums like this are wholesalers, and expect to buy low so they can sell higher at some point. But even the retail buyers that visit here generally know more and are not going to pay a lot.

So the fact that you have not sold any domains in 4 months is a sign, but it could be other things as well. You need to either adveritise more or lower your prices or both, I think.

If you dropped your prices for the 4 letter domains to $50 or $100 you might start selling some of them. And if you can show traffic stats or income figures that will help also. I hope this helps and that others also comment. :-)

Have you tried listing them on Sedo? You can always dual list them and hope they sell. Sedo is free unless of course it sells then you pay them a fee. Might be worth looking at.

thans for the Feedback

I have a few listed w/ sedo . Most are at Afternic I have www.1site4sale.com undefinedforwarded to this address. My minimal price there is 250 dollars. This is obviously to high for the General Public, However I do believe they are all worth at least that. Your right I need to advertise. Well thats the next step.
Im just trying to list them on one more site and ill start to advertise more.

thanx again.

Rory,

I tried Afternic for 6 mos, but with little success; I am not sure if I was doing something wrong or not and I even subscribed to the higher price package for more exposure. I paid for the subscription but never seemed to get any traffic. Sedo, I am doing better, but I do get a lot more site related traffic and I also parked my site with Sedo. I have also got a lot of low bids so I used the min in the same manner as you did.

You may want to think about using your domain names in your keywords or meta tags of the primary website. The more you populate the names the more you can drive them to your front door.

You posted for feedback about your domain prices. I think most of them are too high, but there is an easy way to really find out. Just list some of them here on Namepros and see how much you can sell them for. Create an auction with a BIN and/or reserve price and see what happens. If they don't sell you can lower what you are asking for.

The thing is I think you are expecting what I call "retail" prices, and forums like this are more of a "wholesale" environment.
