Domain Name Forwarding

Hi All. As I am still relatively new to this I have been experimenting with hosting and parking.

I wanted to know if I register a domain, and dont pay the registrar for hosting, instead I forward to a page created for the site on another webpage (through masked forwarding) does this affect how I will be indexed by searchengines, or will the list the domain name as usual?

Frenchie

No need to even do that, you can point the name servers to your hosting company account. Won't effect anything with search engines. You can host where ever you like.

Similar to what r72 said. All you have to do is sign up for your hosting with whomever. Change the name servers and upload the files to the ftp and your all set.

Thanks for the advice, I'm currently hosting my websites on one of my sites, buythemap (visions of a little empire forming) I will have a look at the blogger approach, however it never feels like a real website to me.
