![]() | Parking, hosting & Registering Hi, I just wanted to know if my ideas about these terms make any sense... sorry if I ramble. You register and then you must have the site hosted. You can also have it parked but it isn't necessary to park and host. Oh, where are the best sites to register or host - I remember from reading some posts on the forum that sudo is a good parking site, and was it also free? Sorry I'm a complete newbie so I have no clue what I should do and in what order. I thought it would be wise to ask what I should do. If nothing else I'd appreciate being set straight on what each of these things do. (Parking, hosting, registering domains) Thanks! Anyone? |

![]() | thanks, that all seems to make sense. Do any of those sites you mentioned let you host and act as a registrar? And is it easy to move (or is it "push"?) domains to other hosts or parking websites? Thanks, the info is helpful -NC-. |

Push is only when transfering ownership. The domain is "pushed" from one account to a new owners account. To move parking or hosting providers is easy with a domain name server (DNS) change in your account control panel.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are you looking to make money off of parking? Your name may not be a name people go to and you may find out you made 0 cents on it in a full year. What i would do is park it on sedo and see if you got traffic(people going to the name) Sedo is free and you can also put the name up for sale at no cost until you sell it. Its extremly easy to had a name at godaddy and park it at sedo, for example Remember not all names make money |
