| New Member | GoDaddy is gone with my domain name I registered "CityAutoTech.com" with GD, but when I attempted to list it with Sedo, I found I didn't own it. Apparently in registering it, I spelled out "tect" instead of "tech." The GD people must have known that I would discover my mistake and attempt to re-register the name, but they immediately registered it and now own my domain name. What if anything can I do? | NamePros Regular | unfortunatly..... nothing you can do.... If all registrars were only to register what they thot someone like you meant to register it would be chaos you ordered and RECEIVED the name, no problem on the upside, they might have only regged it to taste it, check again in a few days it may be available again but if i were you i would remove from this post as there is alot of domainers here |

| Senior Member | It is not Godaddy who registered the name. But, yes the whois searches are compromised. What you can do now: 1. The domain was registered by a taster on 6 November. Most probably they will release it on the 10th or 11th of November back. Check multiple times the domain there, and do not check it at Godaddy because their whois is not updated all the time. 2. Get a refund of your typo. You can still get it I think. Alex |

| NamePros Regular | Godaddy will give you a refund up to five days after you buy it. If you've never done it before a phone call is the best way. Quote:
