.co.uk Domain Question

Hi Everyone

I registered my first .co.uk domain names (2 actually). I was a little unsure how this would work. I went to Godaddy.com and registered them then I got an email from Nominet saying

If you have recently registered or renewed a .uk domain name then a Nominet account has been created for you. Nominet is the national registry for all .uk Internet domain names and your domain name is registered under our terms and conditions
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/393423-co-uk-domain-question.html

Then it says:

Your registrar usually manages all aspects of your domain name, and should be your first point of contact.

KEY-SYSTEMS-DE

This site isn't even in english

So what does this all mean? Are my names still at Godaddy? Where would I pay for another year of registration? Godaddy or this Key-Systems-DE

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It means godaddy is a reseller for KEY-SYSTEMS when it comes to certain ccTLDs. Moniker also uses KEY-SYSTEMS btw. Registrars also use Tucows for certain extensions sometimes.
Of course godaddy is your contact for all that matters.

In other words you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

The name is registered with Godaddy and the other outfit you need not pay any attention to at all.

Greetings from a rather chilly Cornwall, brrrrrrrrrrr these nor'westerlys.

Sadly that's not accurate. I just ran into this issue with a shock that 4 of my UK websites aren't on GoDaddy anymore. They are registered on KEY-SYSTEMS.de even though I have NO login for KEY-SYSTEMS.de.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=393423

I was peeved; emailed GoDaddy and they said, "Our records do not indicate registration of the listed domains within us.".

I've asked them to look harder and send a few links to prod them along. If they are still like this I'll have to dig into my notes to get proof that I had these accounts.

I any event get away from GoDaddy for your UK accounts today!

If anyone has further advise, I'd be quite pleased.

Godaddy is your register, although godaddy prices are higher than other industry prices for .co.uk domains check out 123-reg.co.uk for your next purchase.

Nominet sent you an email so you can change things on your name, you can also do this on godaddy, but if you wanted to quickly change your Domains TAG to another register, then you can do it on nominet.
