Many newcomers register d-o-m-a-i-n-s.com with the nievity that somehow just because it's a domain it should also sell for big $$$ like some other domain names that sell for 1000's even more that get PR via news sites and the like. They simply don't sell.

In my opinion a nice/short/keyworded domain would be the way to go. A domain with so many dashes definately lowers the value of the domain.

As I read that the search engines basically ignore the - symbol since its not a letter. So the search engine will index the word by its crawlers as if it were the real thing. Search engines do not ignore the - , they read it as a space..

So is someone search for "c a s i n o" then they might find c-a-s-i-n-o.something, but I believe very few do that..

example: online-casino-on-the-net.com
is not indexed as: onlinecasinoonthenet, but as: "online casino on the net".
