domain stats

i have been testing my web site, but have not launch it yet,
the image shows the stats: 43,800+ hits= what does it mean?

there are only 30 unique visits/79 visits. what generate the Hits?

You must have many pics and/or download links.

This is every action on your web server that is in the log file.

Ex :

Downloading a single file is a single hit.

A visitor looking a Web page that has two images is three hits (One for the html and 2 for the images)

Somebody maybe ulinking some of your files on their site lol. It happened to me before.

i think linking is where people use your images to show on their site or other things, like insted of //image.gif its http:://yoursite/yourimage.gif

am i right?
