![]() | DNS ZONE- Any Free sites that offer ? Hi Guys ! Ok...My problem is, I register a .co.tz domains... But registering it, needs a Primary and Secondary Name servers and their IP address.... And before registering, I have to create a DNS ZONE for the specified domain ! All this process, i have to tell my hosting company....Which is quite rude sometimes, and delete my domain names after sometime ! I wanted to know, if there is any free services which gives to open a DNS ZONE,plus i get primary and secondary nameservers address and their IP ? Am quite new to this, so maybe there is a special name for it ! PLS HEEEEELLLLPPPP !!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | First of all, you should find another hosting company. They should not be treating you that way. Secondly, the way it should work is that you open an account with a hosting company and tell them the domain. They create the DNS record and tell you the name servers information. You then enter the name servers with your domain registrar. If you have a reseller account or hosting account that allows addon domains, you may have to setup the name servers for the domain first before setting it up on your hosting account, but if you try setting up the hosting account first, it should tell you if there is a problem. I hope my answer is not confusing... :-) Good Luck!

![]() | hmmm...ok....But I dont need a hosting.....I only want to register a domain of my local country and keep it... So thats why, this hosting guy is getting angry i think ! Coz he is not getting anything, i register the domain from my country here... I just need to point the domain to his Primary and Secondary servers and before i do that, he has to create a DNS ZONE for me......So i jst, wanted to know if there is any free way to just point my domains and i can be able to create DNS zone myself whenever i want to ! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok, if you don't need hosting then you don't need name servers. You just register the domain and it will either have a default parking page from the registrar or it will have nothing when someone tries to look at it. But if you want "something" of your own on the domain, then you need hosting. Some hosts do allow you to put your own parking page or a small site on your domain for free, but not all of them. There are many sites that offer free hosting, but they generally also give you a domain like mysite.freewebhostingplace.us. I'm not sure who offers that but if you still need free domain hosting I can look around for you.

![]() | Nope....This is not a .com/.net/.org etc domains.... Its a local country domain name...Which is registered manually by filling a form.... Its must to fill a Primary Name-server and its IP, and its Secondary Name Server and its IP.... |
