DropScout Question

Hello. I was wanting to know a sucessful way of obtaining domains that are getting ready to expire. I love DropScout and I have seen several names that I would like to have, but when I go to GoDaddy to reg them they are already taken. I have attemted to back order throught Pool.com with no sucess. See there a certain time that they expire? Should I backorder? With which company and does it help if I backorder through the expiring domains register? I thank you for your help...
