| New Member | GoDaddy vs. 1and1 vs. Network Solutions I need to register 2 or 3 new domains and build some basic web sites with some minimal picture hosting, email capability, etc using the site's tools. I have never done this before. What is my best best of these 3 providers based on price and customer service? Do either of them have anything to do with getting more hits on my website (if not, please send me a link to the correct forum or discussion for that). Thanks for your help!!! |

| Senior Member | There are other registrars besides these 3 ones. And a lot of registrars that are better than all of them. There are: Moniker (more for domainers with large portfolios) Dynadot (good customer service and a simple website) DomainSite NameCheap As regards the 3 you've mentioned, 1and1 is horrible, NetSol is expensive and problematic, while Godaddy is cheaper but not the best choice. Look at registrar reviews section here on namepros to find out what other people think about different registrars. |

| Senior Member | my preferences are Moniker and Domainsite when it comes to domains for reselling purposes. Domains that i buy for my clients for developing i buy from enom. but if you HAVE to choose only one from your list Networksolutions, GoDaddy or 1and1, than i would go with GoDaddy. reason - it is cheaper than Networksolutions, and it have every tools you need. I would not even consider 1and1 because too much crap is written about them.

| NamePros Regular | A lot of people hate 1and1 for the reason that the transfer to another account is a total nightmare. But, if you are going to use the domain name on a website and you arent gonna sell this out for now, I would suggest an easier option to go in for a hosting account with sites like HostGator, HostmOnster, BluieHost, etc and have them hosted. In a way, this works cheap and at 6dollars 1and1 gives you domain privacy and crappy service ![]() PM me if you want more details abt the whole hosting part of it.

| carfinanceassistant.co.uk | ive used both godaddy and 1 & 1 and if your a beginner like i am then you cant beat the customer service they offer. I get replys in 5 minutes to every question i ask and i think they make the process simpler
