Godaddy hosting , Yes or No? Rep for Good Responses

Looking for a hosting service with good customer service as my top priority. Consequently, I do not know if Godaddy is a good choice given that they are such a large provider. Who has primo customer service? What type of storage do I need for just starting sites, 5mb or just go to 100mb if I go with Godaddy?
I am looking for a place that can support a good forum , pictures and video.

Godaddy's hosting can be a nightmare. I purchased one year hosting there to put some directories on it and it's been nothing but problems. From slow servers to their techs resetting the permissions for every file and folder in the account for no reason - they can be a nightmare.

And when you contact them they are clueless. like when they reset all the permissions (which of course not only makes your websites useless it also opens multiple security holes) they blamed it on me. After five or six calls they finally admitted they did it but refused to compensate me for their error.

Put it this way - I won't be renewing my hosting and will be moving the websites to another server.

I use GoDaddy for a few dozen sites now, and have been pleased overall. You do not have "power user" options (Not even a real CP) and things like cgi and php are iffy (Same with any kind of script that GD could view as a threat at all), but if you just have plain old "Vanilla" sites that are heavy on video/traffic, you can't beat their prices for huge storage space and bandwidth for unlimited sites at $7 a month or so

I recently took the deluxe account where i can have unlimited domains hosted with the same account.

Setting my domains up with the hosting is a charm!!! As 90% of my domains reside with GoDaddy, it makes it very easy to set up domains for hosting and launch sites on them for a short time till they sell.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/372108-godaddy-hosting-yes-no-rep-good.html

The new domain hosting config is automatic if the domains are hosted in the same account. I'm not sure about the bandwidth and the speed tho.

The only think lacking is the customer support. I was initially having a little problem with th efolder permissions which i had to figure out myself. The support has a typical answer "We do not support technical => coding issues, there is somthing wrong with ur script , which we cant support."

Other than that, i havent had any real problems so far.

downtime near to zero , for my main site I had an unexplainable slowness like a redirect and moved but I have some sites there. It is better to take deluxe hosting and don't forget to use promo codes they'll save you more than 20-25 usd if you are going to buy.
But there is a proverb , domain from a registrar , hosting from a hosting firm

From my experience:

If you need hosting, get it from professional webhost, not a domain registrar offering it as a side business.

If you need domain name, get it from professional domain registrar, not a web hosting company offering it by becoming resellers of other registrars.
