But as far as a secure email service. None that I can think of. And yes switching ISP is always a headache. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/367932-what-most-secure-type-e-mail.html I have both a free email with Google and Yahoo. I like each one just as equally.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok I am lost. Bank accounts if sending you info via your free email already have the email encypted. You dont do that. In fact I never open a link in an email to a financial institution like my bank and or paypal. I open it an entirely different window. This is what many institutions recommend you to do. And if you ever click through watch for a redirection. The fake domain will be in the address. (well it is one of the 1st signs of recognition for a fraudlant email). I never log in from a email link. This is one security measure one can have. And I really dont conduct financial transactions via email anyways. I do it directly from the site and or call in or wall in. But never email. |

The whois email/password combo is the key to the vault and I make sure I only login to the whois email addresses from 1 machine - updating all OS & Office critical updates/virus defs/antispyware twice a week and changing password every 2 weeks.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fitz are you really changing password every 2 weeks ?? ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=367932 I never changed my ISP and password in last 4 years , but thats just me Yahoo crackers - if you got some nice yahoo id only then they will bother cracking your id hackers-crackers - only if you are targeted particularly ... there are too many yahoo id cracking programs available which work with password list (commonly used simple passwords) , so just make your password LNL and a bit long just to not have it too simple ... simple means 11111,qwert,asdfg,blahblah,apple,books etc. lol Edit : one more thing I would like to add that never go to yahoo chatrooms with your main id because mostly n00b id crackers get your yahoo id from chatrooms using bots ... there is kind of yahoo security key method for more security on your yahoo id so I will make tutorial how to apply it for fellow NPers in free time ....

I use Yahoo primarily for mail and always browse with java turned off and don't go to chatrooms or games, thus reducing exposure to thieves. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=367932 sidenote: when updating to the latest version of Java, always uninstall previous versions
